It is that time of year again - frozen pipe claims. We specialize in water damage assessments of restaurant equipment, medical office instrumentation, computer servers and network components, business office telephone systems, and moisture exposure to all other forms of electronic and mechanical equipment.

We are still seeing claims remaining from the 2022 thunderstorm season. We specialize in determining causation (lightning, utility surge / power outage, or wear & tear), repair versus replacement, and LKQ/RCV/ACV costing for commercial and residential lightning damage equipment claims. We have investigated hundreds of HVAC, stand-by generator, point-of-sales, computer, 911 PSAP, medical/dental instrumentation, computer network, audio/video telephone system, and many other electronic/mechanical systems and equipment claims. Using a combination of NOAA weather data,  lightning verification analysis (e.g., StrikeNet), strike geographical plotting, Insured and service provider interviews, and power outage databases, our extensive experience of electronic/mechanical component damage expectations, and equipment replacement costing; we are able to assist in bringing these claims to a rapid closure, via desk assignments, often at an LKQ/RCV lower than the claimed amount.
